ROUND 1

  • This round will be used for seeding the teams.
  • The robot starts from center. Ball is placed at a pre-decided position X facing A. Each team will be given 5 min practice time before the eliminations begin.
  • One robot hits into Goal A and other into Goal B. There will be a time out after 2 min. Each robot will get 2 tries and best of 2 trials will be considered. The total time i.e. Sum of best time taken by both the Robots will be used to determine the team’s seeding.
ROUND 2
  • It will be a proper Soccer Match with 2 halves of 4 min each.
  • The team which will start the game will be decided by a toss. The ball will be given to the robot winning the toss. In second half the other team gets to attack first. The other team gets the option of choosing the side.
  • The goal has to be scored strictly by a kicking mechanism - NO HITTING WITH BODY OF THE ROBOT ALLOWED WHILE MAKING A GOAL.
  • In case of a tie, after 8 min if scores are equal then penalty kicks from position Y. Each team gets a minimum of 4 kicks; the goalkeeper will be the two robots of a team alternately.

Other rules for this round are as displayed alongside:

  • Crossing the centre line and moving completely into other half will be treated as a foul and attacker of opposing team gets to start the play from Position X.
  • In case of intended entanglement, the opponent car starts from the position of foul.
  • In case of unintended entanglement, the attacker in the entanglement starts from the centre line. Referee has the right to decide whether the entanglement is intended or unintended.
  • Hitting the ball with body will be allowed and in no case will it be considered as a Foul. ( Except while scoring a goal )
  • If Referee thinks that the ball is confined within the body and other robot cannot access the ball, a warning will be given for the first time but foul or penalties will be incurred thereafter if ball is confined again.

Rules are subject to change/ modified without prior notice and decision of the organizers remains the final authority.
