Excellence is to do a common thing in an uncommon way. This is very well illustrated by the life of this individual - Took to ‘hacking’ at the age of 11, helped the FBI and CIA in crime investigations, Came out with his first book at the age of 16, Pursued education at Stanford university while continuing to help in crime investigation…been there, done that – and that too by someone who’s all of 19!!!

No points for guessing, this is Mr. Ankit Fadia. The true child genius.

In yet another landmark event, IEEE VESIT took a giant step and accomplished a never- before seen event. IEEE VESIT held a seminar for all its student members by Ankit Fadia on Network Security and Mobile Hacking on the 6 th September 2005. Apart from it being a grand event in itself, what made it still more special was the release of his 3 rd book- Hacking Mobile Phones. The official release of his book was on 15 th September 2005. However he consented to releasing it in our event here prior to its world-wide release. The event also witnessed the launch of his own website, www.hackingmobilephones.com which was compiled by our very own web editor Naveen Shetty.

The event turned out to be a great success with students as well as professors attending in large numbers. Everyone sat with rapt attention and he left the audience asking for more. This event has truly left its mark and shall be remembered by all for a long time to come.
