Why mobile website?
Mobile devices are everywhere. These days it seems everyone walking with (or driving) down the street is using a cellular phone. Those who aren’t are using PDA or pagers.

Also increasingly popular is the ability of these devices to access the internet. Cell phones are able to browse the web. These mobile devices allow you to connect to the World Wide Web in all the ways that traditional land lines allow. It is only logical, then, that as web developers we start taking advantage of this new territory.

How to access the WAP site?
To access the site on mobile device, the device should be enabled with GPRS (general packet radio service) system. GPRS allows the device to connect to internet and exchange information with World Wide Web.

The site on mobile can be accessed this way:

  • Enable GPRS if it is not.
  • Select GOTO URL from the options given
  • Type URL www.ieee-vesit.org/wap and press OK
