Latest! After winning the IEEE Student Branch Website Contest in Asia-Pacific (Region 10), IEEE-VESIT then went on to win the Contest at the WORLD LEVEL the same year. In Februaty 2005, IEEE-VESIT had the privillage to develop the website for IEEE 360 Degrees - An Inter-College Techfest. For the first time in the history of Techfests, registrations for the contest were available on mobile phones via WAP. IEEE-VESIT held 3 different online competitions, which were a huge success.

In January 2005, IEEE-VESIT's Web Team were selected to develop a website for the IEEE India Council, named 'IEEE Shakha Kendra'. This Website was innaugrated by IEEE World President, Mr. Cleon Anderson. Read more about IEEE Shakha Kendra
In February 2002 IEEE-VESIT organized an All Bombay Technical Paper Writing Contest called Conception 2002. It was a one of a kind event organized by any college in Bombay single-handedly. The event was a big success; attracting over 130 entries from 13 colleges affiliated to Bombay University.
IEEE-VESIT also organized in conjunction with the IEEE Student Branch of Thadomal College of Eng. (TSEC), a lecture by Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras on Wireless Local Loop Technology.
IEEE VESIT is one of the 8 branches worldwide to get get 2000 - 2001 AT&T Labs Student Enterprise Awards.

In 2002, IEEE-VESIT was selected to receive a project kit and compete in Third Annual Computer Society International Design Competition (CSIDC-2002).

Microelectronics Conference in August of 2000. It was a hugh success with active participation by students as well as speakers.

IEEE-VESIT stood second in the annual IEEE-Bombay section's festival - 360 degrees in 1999, and successfully conducted the Inter-Collegiate Paper Contest in July 1999. IEEE- VESIT hosted the Online Treasure Hunt in 2000 for 360 Degrees.

IEEE-VESIT has also participated in Elecrama '99 where it was one of the few student organisations to participate amongst the Industry bigwigs.
VESIT won the third prize for the best student branch website contest held by the IEEE for the academic year 1999-2000. We stood first in Asia Pacific (Region10) and third on the global level.
VESIT won the platinum award for the best student branch website contest held by the IEEE for the academic year 1998-99.
