IEEE VESIT SCHOOL OF ROBOTICS
Robotics fascinates everyone!
The basic idea of designing robots that can perform multiple tasks-is one of the many exciting interests that an aspiring engineer has. Keeping into account of the interests of the enthusiastic budding engineers, IEEE-VESIT provides an excellent platform to introduce the basic fundamentals of
robotics to its members through its SEMINAR & WORKSHOP conducted every year.
|
This year's seminar kick started with an interesting movie illustrating the unusual kinds of robots designed over the years in the world, and their unique applications. This threw light on the concept of robotics, for the
members who got a proper feel of what robotics is all about. The seminar was then taken over by the elite team of our Technical Advisory Board members, Aditya Desai,Amit Haware, experts in the field of robotics.
The group presented its robots and explained the process of robo-making in detail, about the various components required & the various process involved. The seminar was then followed by a 2-day workhop which proved to be as exciting as the seminar. The workshop encouraged the members to form groups
and each group had to prepare its own robots, keeping in mind the upcoming inter collegiate technical festivals. Each group was provided with a complete ‘robo-kit’ consisting all the required components for making a robot. An experienced TE was assigned as a ‘mentor’ to each group.
The assistance of the mentors were indeed helpful, especially for those members who were entering such a contest for the first time. Both-the seminar and the workshop proved to be a very good learning experience for the members, who dealt with loads of team-work, improvement in technical skills and most importantly -
a FUN event. This being the one of the early event of IEEE this year, is indeed a memorable one. |
