
Details about the administrative setup of the college
Management Setup:
VJTI is a Maharashtra State aided institution governed by a Board of Management. The Board consists of nineteen members as follows:
- Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State : Ex-Officio Chairman
- Seven Members nominated by the Government of Maharashtra from Government Departments, Educational Institutes and Industries
- Two nominees of Government of India
- Two nominees of All India Council of Technical Education
- Two nominees of the Mill Owners Association
- Three nominees of Mumbai Municipal Corporation
- One nominee of the original Trustees
- Principal of the Institute
The Board, as constituted above holds regular meetings at two months interval. The Principal functions as Secretary to the Board. The Board lays down policies for the working of the Institute based on the norms and guidelines issued by the Maharashtra Government.
Administration:
The Principal of the Institute assisted by two Vice-Principals administers the Institute through Eleven Heads of Departments.
The General Administration section is headed by a Registrar and the Accounts section is in charge of two Accounts Officers and an Internal Auditor.
A Fully qualified Librarian is in charge of the Library.
The Training and Placement Officer looks after the training and placement activity of students.
A Professor heads the Industry-Institute Interaction Cell and co-ordinates the promotion of interaction with industries |
